General Qualifications

Have a love for working with kids and teens

Successfully complete a background check (to ensure everyone’s safety)

Be prepared to provide a few references who can speak to your character and experience

Staff members will be approved by our SCYDA Board of Trustees

Our medical staff needs to be licensed in South Carolina and approved by our CSE Medical Director

Medical Staff

Support campers and staff in all aspects of daily camp activities
-
Monitor blood sugar levels and assist with carb counting
-
Administer insulin and other prescribed medications
-
Supervise insulin pump site changes
-
Provide first aid when needed
-
Help with the smooth running of camp operations

Have a blast while making a difference!
Counselor

Live alongside campers in the cabin, creating a supportive environment

Be a positive leader and role model

Participate enthusiastically in all activities

Supervise and guide your campers throughout all activities and programs

Help with blood sugar checks and carb counting

Take on cabin duties as assigned to keep things running smoothly
